Ultrasonic Testing – WROUGH PRODUCTS
Ultrasonic testing involves the use of high-frequency sound pulses generated by a transducer placed above a sample. These sound waves travel through the material and reflect upon encountering interfaces within it. The reflected waves are captured by a detector positioned above the sample. This technique allows for accurate determination of the material's thickness as well as the location, depth, and nature of any flaws. It is highly effective for materials with good sound transmission properties and provides rapid, highly sensitive results.

- Select the appropriate Ultrasonic testing technique for the specific test method.
- Establish the limitations of the testing method's application.
- Interpret and adapt NDT codes, standards, specifications, and procedures into practical NDT instructions suited to the working environment.
- Configure and validate equipment settings.
- Conduct and oversee testing operations.
- Analyze and assess test results in accordance with relevant standards, codes, specifications, or procedures.
- Develop comprehensive written instructions for Ultrasonic Testing.
- Execute and supervise all tasks within or below Level 2 certification.
- Provide guidance and support to personnel certified at or below Level 2.
- Document and report the results of Ultrasonic tests.
